Castlecomer Discovery Park

Younger visitors can have great fun in the charming Timber Tumbles playground which includes a mini zip-wire! Or why not explore the woodand further and visit our magical Woodland Play Area which is home to the Elf & Fairy Village, Bluebell Playhouse and Junior Woodland Adventure Course (Arboretum Loop, Green Trail).
Brandon Hill Loop
The Brandon Hill loop is a challenging 12 KM trail following minor roadways, forestry tracks and hillside patches to reach the peak. The Brandon Loop starts in the town of Graiguenamanagh, where you can drop into the 13th century Cistercian monastery of Duiske Abbey or stop in for a spot of lunch in the picturesque town full of traditional character and charm.
Castlemorris Wood Walk
This walk is one of a range of scenic walks developed by Trail Kilkenny and designed to allow you explore more of the great outdoors. Distance/Time is approx 7km/2 to 2.5 hrs. Terrain features forestry roads, grassy path and country roads.
Freshford Loop
Starts at Village Green in Freshford. Distance/Time is approx 8km/2 to 2.5 hrs. Terrain includes riverbank, woodland track, laneways. Would suit all levels of fitness. Part of Trail Kilkenny.
Kilkenny to Bennettsbridge Trail
This is the second part of the Nore Valley Walk. The walk starts under the Ossary bridge and heads south following the river Nore as far as Bennetsbridge. Distance/Time approx 11km/2 to 3 hours. Terrain includes Grasslands, roadways, river banks.
Kilmacoliver Walk
This loop walk starts & finishes at the car park at the Watering Place wildlife lakes fed by fresh water springs 1km from the village of Tullahought. Dist/Time is 6km/2hrs. Terrain includes laneways,fields & woodland trails.Part of Trail Kilkenny.
Thomastown to Inistioge Trail
This stretch of the Nore Valley Walk takes you through diverse countryside, pastoral lands and woodland; rich in flora and fauna. There is the ruin of Grennan Castle at the start, followed by the pretty Dysart Woods and Dysart Castle.
